We are very excited to be offering the “SUMMER OF DISCOVERY” program starting on June 1 through August
7, 2009. This wonderful camp will be open to all students, ages three to 5th grade, from Alpine Academy of
Rockford and Alpine Lutheran Church. Applications for nonmembers will be accepted for ages three to seven
only. The camp will consist of two separate programs: Preschool Camp, and Summer Camp.
All campers will be placed in the appropriate camp according to age. Each week will introduce a new and exciting
theme, which will provide all kinds of fun-filled, creative, and educational activities.
Our Summer Camp program (Kindergarten to 5th grade) will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The Preschool
Camp (ages 3-4) will run from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. Any preschool camper may arrive at 7:30 a.m. and leave as
late as 5:30 p.m. One of our camp counselors will escort all preschool campers to Preschool Camp at 8:00 a.m.
and pick up them up at 3:00 p.m. and place them back into the Summer Camp program.
The cost for the Preschool and Summer Camp program will be $150.00 per week/ per child or $40 a day/ per
child. A one-time summer registration fee of $20.00 per family will be required by May 1, 2009. After the
May 1st deadline, the registration fee will increase to $25.00.
All campers are required to supply their own food and drinks: a healthy morning and afternoon snack, in addition
to bringing a sack lunch.

The Preschool Camp program will be under the supervision of Alpine Academy preschool teachers: Ms. Lori
Holmer-Miles and Ms. Rebecca Cook. All campers must be fully potty-trained. The children will be taking an
afternoon nap, so a small nap mat and child sized sleeping bags will be required.
Summer Camp Program (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
Alpine Academy Aftercare director, Ms. MIA Chase, will be supervising the Summer Camp program, along with
qualified camp counselors.
